Avril Lavigne - Goodbye Lullaby + Pokemon White
And yes. I’m home again and right now, I’m feel very frustrated because I probably lack of sleep but I’m still going to blog anyway because I don’t want to abandon this space.
Had been rushing the entire evening, getting cat food, ripping the new CD into my laptop, re-downloading iTunes (Apple annoys me to no ends with their endless iTunes updates!), taking photos, doing this, doing that. I haven’t even had time to brush my teeth!!
Well, people might say that the things I’m rushing through is insignificant and unimportant. Well actually, they are but somehow, I want them DONE. Weekends are already so short so I’m maximizing every single second of it to do something.
And considering that I won’t be home till Sunday, I better work on this post now~
Back to something more light hearted… I got Avril Lavigne’s new album, Goodbye Lullaby!! And I say~ It’s one of the nicer albums (in terms of the visuals because I haven’t got time to listen to it yet) recently!
Well let’s take a lookie…
Well of course~ When it comes to getting albums, I will always try to get the Deluxe editions because they pack so many more goodies! So this is the cover art of Goodbye Lullaby and she finally seen in a dress~ Or at least as compared to her previous album arts. This time, she shows a little bit more vulnerability and that’s pretty. Sometimes, being too hard and cold isn’t exactly appealing all the time.
I love her hair~ :P Anyway, the Deluxe Edition comes with 4 extra tracks and one of them is Alice!! This version of Alice is different though because she added an extra verse into it to length the song to a 5 minute track and I’m lovin’ it~ The Deluxe Edition also comes with a DVD, featuring the Making of Goodbye Lullaby. I hope I’ll have the time to watch the DVD soon though.
And the stupid PG sticker just had to spoil everything.
It’s a Deluxe CD *star* DVD y’all!! The regular edition is on sale in Singapore as well and costs around 4 dollars cheaper but I highly recommend the Deluxe because it has 5 more tracks~ Kick ass ones some more!!
The sticker describing the album. It says 4 bonus tracks because Alice is supposed to be a “hidden” track. But come on~ If it’s hidden, then why did you tell the whole wide world that on the back? Then where’s the fun and surprise of finding an extra track on your album?
Before I continue, I got an Avril Lavigne “WHAT THE HELL” tote bag y’all! One of the many reasons why you should get the Deluxe edition and quick~ The bags are whilst stock lasts so don’t be cryin’ when you are too late! And sorry, regular editions do not enjoy this privilege.
Let’s talk about the insides now. So here are the CD and DVD along with what you’ll first see when you open up the casing. The CD is a little challenging to get it out though because it was kinda stuck. I’m not a huge fan of olive green but somehow, the design worked for me.

And the inside of the lyric booklet (YES!! Lyrics included!!), you see the Avril that we all know~ The fiercer version!! Apparently, people told me that this album sees Avril going back to her previous styles prior to “The Best Damn Thing”, which means more acoustics? I don’t know~ All I know is that it won’t be as trashy (trashy’s good though!!) as her previous pink album. Get the album and be your own judge.

Well, I can’t say much about the songs (yet) on this album because like I said, I’m an extremely busy man who has a LIFE to live. I disagree with the fact that army owns my life. Come on! Where’s the human rights??
Let’s jump to games. POKEMON BLACK/WHITE is out and I got both copies for only $80!! That’s $40 per game!! Ain’t that cheap? But unfortunately, the Black copy is not mine so I don’t have it with me but I think I might be able to snap photos of it tomorrow so keep a look out!
Anyway, a brief summary. Pokemon Black/White is the 5th generation of Pokemon games since I was a kid in primary school. That was a decade+ ago!! I’m getting old but I’m still playing Pokemon but who cares!! Games have no age limits!! Works basically the same as the traditional Pokemon games with lots of added features~ Try it out to find out!

Not that I’m a hater but I really wonder if the artists are getting too old or the new ones are just incompetent. Or the QA actually have no sense of judgment. These designs are… I don’t know! But I’m playing the game anyway~ Because it’s Pokemon…
The insides of the box; the game itself and a whole stack of paper. One of which informs you that you can go online using your Nintendo DS to download a pass which gives you access to one of the rare Pokemons called Victini. Valid until April 30 so don’t dawdle now~~
The whole stack of important and not-so-important information stuck in a box. I don’t really flip through them so I’ll leave them as they are…
That’s all the things I have to “review” this time.
Tomorrow, I shall go sing with my poly mates (yes!!) and go have dinner with them~ So excited to sing again~~
And I’m still wondering how to get the venue for my birthday… Time’s running out already…
