Shopping with cousins

Eventually, I gave in to the stress of buying new year clothes and went ahead with my cousins (Sheena, Rena, Laura and later in the evening, Leon and Vera, along with some other friends) to get some.

Actually, I was still pretty reluctant to get clothes because I find it a waste of money. CDs are so much more worth it, I feel!! But to spare myself from my father’s nagging, I think spending a little for immunity might not be such a bad idea.

By the way, I’m experimenting with the idea of hosting my photos on an external site and then uploading them here via HTML to get bigger pictures. By bigger I meant around 80px more in terms of dimension~ That’s a lot!!

So let’s see whether it’ll work out in this post… :)

WOOOO~ Bigger pictures already! Though it’s slightly more troublesome but I’ll see whether it will work out or not. Went to Far East to walk around with my cousins in hopes of getting something cheap but eventually, I didn’t get anything. Took this picture of Laura and she looks like she has wrinkles on her forehead. :P

Walked past this alley and took this really cool shot! Gonna feature it in nega+ive later on~

Met up with Rena at Far East because she had just returned from her internship. Isn’t it sad to have to work on a Saturday? She has a really interesting iPod Touch screen protector that turns into a mirror when your iPod is not in use. Handy for a vain girl like herself.

Well let’s fast forward… After walking aimlessly in Far East and ended up getting nothing at all, we went to Bugis, one of my most hated places to shop because it is forever crowded with people I don’t fancy (if you get what I mean). Sheena brought us up the wrong bus and ended up having to alight somewhere at Little India to take a cab over.

Finally reached Bugis and met up with some other friends. It was almost like the circus coming to town because there were like 9 of us there? Or more? And we were squeezing through the crowdedness of Bugis Street; the street where you typically find gangsters. :)

Bought a pair of shorts for 11 dollars!! Thanks to Sheena’s connections over there and her constant yelling at the poor uncle.

Went to iluma for dinner after getting my shoes…

Had dinner at this place called “Taste of Hong Kong Cafe”. Weird name, no? The menu is limited and honestly, I don’t really like it there because the portion is small and expensive! That’s Rena and her fierce, metal teeth.

Laura’s “surprised” face.

Rena and Laura posing with the huge menu filled with food that are… not very interesting.

Hello Rena. :)

Well, due to our “circus” troop sized shopping team, we had to join 2 tables together for us to have our meal together and one of the tables is Table 32, as shown here.

The Queen of Unglam!

And this is what I had for dinner; Beef Hor Fun. The portion is ridiculously small for $7.90 (thank goodness they have no service charge nor GST!!) but honestly, it tastes not bad. The beef is tender and the noodles are not too sweet. They can do with a larger portion and more veggies though. Cockles would be good. :)

And let’s fast forward again to this afternoon. I had Laksa for lunch at Causeway Point’s Banquet. I love to dine at Banquet because it’s Halal and that means they do not add lard into your food. Saves me the trouble of having to pick out those fatty monsters out from my food. This is the leftover gravy from the Laksa. Notice the texture of the oil? Interesting no?

Shared this really good Roti John (I think it’s just bread + egg and lots of sauces). Reminds me of the one that we had at Tekong but this one is so much better because it’s warm and generously huge! I was extremely bloated after having this.

TA DA~~ The shoe that I bought from iluma for, if I didn’t remember wrongly, $25.90! Is that cheap or what?! I don’t really like white shoes because firstly, they make me look more like a student (My face cheated the KFC person to give me the student meal! YES!!) and secondly, people will be very tempted to step on my feet (Right Rena?). But~ I find the buckles of the laces very interesting; the colors!! So I got it anyway. It’s so cheap so I don’t really mind~ It’s meant for immunity against nagging anyway~ :P

Right. So that’s all I have for this really rushed post because I have to head back to camp on my own later. Sadded. But hope you enjoy the bigger pictures! :) Though it’s slightly troublesome, I guess it’s worth it.

Hopefully, we get offs this week too! See y’all~

大切な人と。。。

I was meant to get this blog entry done like half an hour ago but just now, Maomao suddenly went spastic (like shivering madly, like possessed like that) and he scared the hell out of Kaka and myself.

Apparently, he had swallowed some cat shampoo while bathing and that caused him to gag. Well, actually, I’m not 100% sure what’s the reason he went spastic but since he was spitting out foam, I guess that’s it. Scary!!

Kaka was trying to calm him down but nothing seemed to work. I took one of our bath towels and wrapped it around him and keep calling out “Maomao good boy”. Surprisingly, within 30 seconds, he calm down and started crying really loudly. I think the incident really shocked him.

This is not the first time he got such a life-threatening shock. There was another time his head was stuck in a badminton shuttlecock tube and he was flipping like a fish. We had to cut the tube open to rescue him. In the process, he injured his paws but he’s fine now.

Hopefully, curiosity won’t kill my cat…

Okay~ Moving on to something more light-hearted~ Yesterday, I went out! YES!! I’m out on a Friday and I finally get to go out on a weekend without having to think that book in is later. (Actually, book in is indeed later today -_-“)

Woke up around 10:30am and played Gin Rummy on my iPod Touch. It’s surprisingly quite fun! :P Then, went to 313@Somerset to meet Chua Ying Ying because I wanted to get this fleece shirt from UNIQLO. After her staff discount, the shirt costs $17 only! CHEAP STUFF!! I’m going back to UNIQLO to shop for more stuff next time~

After that, I went for lunch…

Lunch at KFC!! I think we had lunch at KFC the previous week but who cares~ We saw the Black Pepper Chicken offer and went straight for it because I still remember how delicious the chicken was the previous time it was available~ Changed my whipped potato to colesaw because I think I need that extra fibre. :S

After lunch, we went to HMV to get my CDs (see the previous post!!) Shan’t talk too much about this since it’s already featured in a full post.

Went to Suntec to visit my siblings and friends at the IT show because they’re working there. Honestly, the IT show was slightly disappointing because it was so quiet! I was expecting like a perverted crowd but this is probably the first time where you actually have space to walk around in the exhibition hall!

Christmas’ round the corner! I see Christmas trees all over the place and I remember last year, I’ve been on a spree of taking photos of trees and this year, I think I’m doing the same. This tree is gorgeous!! By the way, don’t you hate it that you’re holding your huge camera there and people just want to be part of your picture? Irritating…

The silver ornamental ball… I heard from my friend that some people have this weird fetish of stealing ornament balls from public Christmas trees for the thrill of it. I think they should be ashamed of themselves! That’s theft can?

So we managed to visit my siblings and chat with them for awhile. I didn’t get anything from the show though because the prices are not very attractive and I don’t really have much money to spend anyway. O yes! During the show, some Prudential people came and drag us to explain their saving policies to us. Sorry, I’m not interested really. I don’t know why I was so kind to entertain them for over 30 minutes. Come on~ No matter how much pepper, salt and spice you’re going to throw into your policies, I know the catch is definitely a son of a bitch so give me a break!

And yes~ We took a break from all the walking after strolling in the exhibition hall. We had the Hershey’s Sundae Pie at Burger King! Remember in one of my previous post, I mentioned that our pies melted and tastes weird? This time, we ate the one that came out from the fridge and it’s good~~ Love the base especially~

Walked around random places like Raffles Place to search for the space aliens but sadly (or luckily?),I didn’t find none and that means, I saved some money. SPACE ALIENS!! I saw someone wore a shirt with one on it and I want that shirt!! Oh well~

Went to the food court near one of my aunt’s house to wait for the rest of the family to arrive for our family dinner. No idea why the sudden treat (probably lottery) but I’ll take it anyway~ Was bored so I started snapping pictures of the vicinity. Isn’t the moon pretty?

I was probably lucky that I can take pretty clear shots yesterday evening because I would normally need a tripod to capture that sharpness under such low light situations.

Moon in the evening sky over the warmly lit road.

Street lamp peeping through the leaves.

While I was shooting away, my family actually walked past me and went straight to the food court without me! They didn’t notice me at all and I thought that they haven’t arrive and I was like a moron there~ Luckily, I managed to catch a glimpse of my aunt and I went there immediately. Standing by the road is boring okay~ :P Photo of my cousin…

I was meant to take a picture of Laura watching videos on her iPhone but Rena stuck her head in during the shot and so, you have this unglam photo! She likes to be unglam so I’ll give it to her…

This is the picture I was meant to take!! I forgot to set my camera to shoot in RAW and I ended up with all jpegs. Wasted! Oh well~ I’ll make do with whatever I have. Laura was watching videos of the chimpanzee and dog… What are their names again? I remember watching it last time and it was really hilarious~

Not so unglam photo of Rena…

If you have been following my blog since day one, you would have known that my family is notorious for ordering weird food for the young adults and kids, for instance, this plate of veggies that looks unappetizing. Come on! Who would actually sell something so ugly?! What makes it worst is the adults actually ordered it! Poor judgment! Just look at Laura’s face!!

Disappointed and disgusted we were… I bet I can cook something better than that! Those veggies look like they had spent too much time in the hot water.

Can someone explain Rena’s expression?

Laura was pretty depressed by the veggies…

One of those moments when you think that camp food is actually better than the crap they sell outside…

At least the second dish didn’t look that pathetic; tofu with minced meat. But it was just one piece!! We had how many people around the table? More than 10!!

As usual, the hungry children will start attacking the food like they were starved for years. Luckily, I ate something before I came for this dinner. Otherwise, I would have fainted from hunger  or something on the spot.

My drink! I had no clue what to have when the drink auntie asked me. Part of me wanted something sour, part of me wanted something sweet. Then I was like heck~ Give me the Qoo White Grape! Suddenly had the craving in that split second… Been awhile since I drank this also. At least it’s not fizzy. Don’t really fancy fizzy drinks.

Okay. The one piece of tofu was a slight exaggeration because after that, my uncle got us another piece so everyone had some of that tofu. The next dish was crabs! Guess what! I didn’t get the pincer again! But that doesn’t bother me since I’m used to it…

But I did snatch a pincer on Laura’s behalf and now, she’s posing with her prize. The crab is actually not bad. Okay, when you compare it to the rest of the rubbish for dinner, it was a heaven vs hell comparison. I can taste garlic in the crab it was really tasty. If only it wasn’t that challenging to eat though…

You know when you eat crabs, your hands are going to be dirty and it’s extremely inconvenient? And Rena just had to pick this time to spill her Ribena on me. -_-” Luckily, I’ve kept my camera, otherwise, she will have to sell her braces and teeth to get me another one. :P But I took “revenge” but spilling a little bit of my Qoo on her. Nah~ It was an accident and it was only a drop or two. Hers was like 1/8 of her packet. -_-“

Actually, after the crab, there was this braised pork dish but my hands were oily and filled with crab goodness so I didn’t take pictures of that dish. But it didn’t taste good anyway so it’s no big lost. :P Well, I’m starting to become more critical about the things I put inside my mouth and if it’s disgusting, I will say it!

If I were to lie that the food is good, then if people waste their money to put yucky things into their mouth, I would feel guilty for cheating them of their money. Only deserving places deserve good reviews, no? :D

SOOOOO~ That’s the last photo! Booking in tonight! Shall wear that new UNIQLO shirt to book in since it’s so cool~ :P

Off to do something more productive like killing monsters in Maple, I guess? :P

Dinner with my family~~

Once in awhile, my family would gather together for dinner. From what I heard from the adults, it seems like this family reunion was to celebrate Mothers’ Day (Yes! It’s way overdue, no?) for my grandmother.

Before we actually went for dinner, my siblings (Vera and Leon), met up with our cousins (Sheena, Rena and Laura) at Hougang Mall before we went to the venue because Rena wanted to get some treats for Qiqi while I wanted to get some kitty litter.

So, we met them at Hougang Mall and went to the Pets’ Lovers Center over there. Rena bought a couple of treats for Qiqi. Sometimes, I envy dog owners because they have such a huge selection of products to get for their canine kids. Just look at the shelves! You’ll see that an entire section of Hougang Mall’s Pets’ Lovers Center is dedicated to dog treats while the cat treats only get a small, miserable shelf.

But I still love cats~ Just that I want more things to pamper my kitty, you know? I bought Maomao these chicken jerky pieces because it was made of real chicken! At least that’s what I hope~ Seems nice too~ Got the freakin’ heavy kitty litter too…

After getting all our stuff, we walked around Hougang Mall and helped this stranger redeemed some vouchers. She shared her vouchers with us for helping her~ Yes yes!! Means I can go back to Hougang Mall to shop some other time. :)

Good thing Aik Hin went with us to dinner because after we were done with Hougang Mall, he drove us to the place. :D Wonders of having a license and car!!

And of course… I brought my camera along. I was pretty unlucky because my battery was dying when we were at Hougang Mall. Must be because I took too many pictures of Maomao prior to leaving my home. :P Rena was kind enough to model for me today~ I’m loving this shot!!

This is where we had dinner; at some secluded eating house located somewhere in Yio Chu Kang. When Sheena asked who suggested this place, I was like “We don’t even know the existence of this place and you’re asking me?” I don’t really like the place because it was filled with smokers and not to mention, it was a little dirty. There was a cute kitty though but I didn’t manage to get a shot of it.

Laura and Rena!! One weird problem I encountered while editing the film was that a lot of the pictures looked grayish. Anyone care to explain why? :S

The adults of my family… Every time we go for dinner, we would be split into 2 tables; the teenagers + children and the adults. We always feel that the adults get better food but we’re not really in the position to complain because we are not paying. Besides, my grandparents deserve good food too, no?

Vera “stole” candies from the little kids…

This is my drink! Can you guess what this is?

If you can’t, you must be from the Moon…

My siblings and some of my cousins got coconuts for their drink. Not only do you get to drink, you get to eat the coconut. I kinda regretted not getting the coconut too because of the hassle but I had that slight craving for the coconut flesh though.

Rena was cam-whoring and Laura popped her head in.

Most of the time, the adults are the one doing the ordering and we “children” have to entertain ourselves before the food arrives. Sheena was playing this shopping center mania-styled game on her iPhone.

Whela and Aik Hin~

And the food finally arrived! Within a minute, the hungry children (like my younger cousins), started to attack the dishes like they had been starved for years, leaving me with nothing! Not even a plate! Everything happened so quickly that even before I got my plate and utensils, the food was all gone. Therefore, I never had any of this noodle.

And I got no fried rice too! That was how monstrous those kids were. I had to order another plate of fried rice myself after they cleared the noodles and fried rice. Come to think of it, it might be because I was busy snapping pictures and they were busy snatching food and that’s why I didn’t get any.

Notice the empty plate of rice in the foreground? That’s how fast the rice was cleared away! Monsters~~

At least I managed to get some of that prawn omelette…

Om nom nom nom on the mediocre food…

Ugly picture but nice, huge prawn!! The cereal prawn was really tasty! My sister fed the prawn heads to the stray kitty we saw over there and the kitty agreed that it’s tasty too~

We had butter crabs as well. Okay, THEY had butter crabs because I sat this dish out. Didn’t want to get my hands greasy. Besides, Vera, Leon and 2 of my other cousins grabbed the pincers even before I spotted them. Oh well~ It’s been a long time since I ate the pincers anyway because I don’t want to snatch from the younger ones. I’m such a gentleman, right Laura? :P

Eating crabs is never a glam affair…

Rena is obviously enjoying her crab; the pincer no less… Laura was extremely vexed because she didn’t manage to get the pincer and Leon wouldn’t stop rubbing it in her face.

Vera is showing off her prize for being one of the four fastest crab pincer snatchers.

Like I said, crab-eating is never glam… Especially when you’re venting on the poor crab legs because you didn’t get the pincer, like Laura. We may have grown up but some childish things never change… :P

That expression on Xavier’s face is so funny and priceless!!

The aftermath of all the snatching, messy eating, unglamness, etc. This ALWAYS happens at our table, no matter how careful and gentle I was. Obviously, I’m not the greatest contributor to the mess. :P

When we were done eating, Rena and I accompanied Sheena to the nearby bus stop because she has to report for work. Poor her~ Have to work on Sundays. Only when we walked out to the main road did I realize that I’ve actually been drove pass this area many times since I was young but I never realized that such an eating house existed. Oh well~ I would probably not go back there anyway since there’s nothing special about it.

Took this picture while we were waiting for Sheena’s bus. She looks like a mannequin in this picture promoting her LV bag (which costs $1000++!! MADNESS!!) Fashion has a price, no?

“If Rena’s not unglam, she ain’t Rena…~”

Sheena’s hair color actually looked better with the flash on~

And finally~ Her bus arrived… If this was my old camera, I wouldn’t be able to get such a clear shot, even with flash!!

Rena loves to do that sticking-her-chin-out pose… Regrettably, this is the last picture of this entry because my camera went out of battery shortly after. Considering that I actually managed to last after we ate, the battery life was quite good~

Yeap~ That’s all!! Hopefully when I go to the army, I will still have time to attend such family dinners because it’s always so fun to go out with my cousins. :) We’re still considering whether or not to go out next week together.

We’ll see, yes? :)

Maomao / Qiqi / Children

Today’s the vet appointment for both Qiqi (my cousin’s dog) as well as my Maomao (my cat). I was slightly excited, slightly afraid because I have never ever brought any of my own pets to the vet before, though I’ve accompanied Qiqi to the vet for once.

So in the afternoon, I went to my cousins’ house to meet Sheena and Laura and their naughty girl, Qiqi. She’s such a terror because she kept barking at my Maomao and Maomao was so frightened/annoyed/totally harassed that she growled. Maomao is normally very peace-loving and would only growl at this small fan I have and of course, Qiqi.

We had to take a cab because the other public transports in Singapore are so not pet-friendly. I can probably escape with Maomao in the carrier but with Qiqi, it’s a challenge to even get her not to bark at the cab driver.

Sheena and Laura. Laura has to carry Qiqi in her hands because she might run around wildly and bark at anybody she sees. Furthermore, her leash broke.

My cute little kitten behaving in the carrier. Maomao is very curious of the surroundings and is always looking interestingly out of the carrier.

Laura said she wants to be a model but whenever I take the camera up, she doesn’t strike a pose. That’s so ironic, no?

Sheena is always giving some unglam look.

Maomao looking at the cars passing by… It was extremely hard to wait for a cab, especially during Sundays so Sheena had to call one. I hate the idea of calling cabs because it means more expenses.

Apparently, Sheena’s eyesight got worse because she don’t wear her glasses often. In fact, this is the FIRST time in so many centuries that I’ve seen her put on her glasses. I think the last time I saw her wearing glasses was when I was 11 years old? That’s almost a decade ago!

Qiqi had to put on her muzzle even though she’s just a toy breed. Her fierceness is not to be reckoned with. She hates people who looks her into her eyes and she will not hesitate to bite your nose off. The vets all said she is fierce and seriously needs taming.

Well, I didn’t take any pictures at the veterinarian clinic because I was too busy trying to block the vision between Qiqi and Maomao. On the cab, I had to sit in between the both of them with Laura’s huge bag to block their vision, lest Qiqi terrorizes my cat again. I wouldn’t want to be caught in an animal fight.

We took turns to go into the check-up room and Qiqi went first and of course, was barking madly as usual. She had her first dose of vaccination even though she’s already one years old; an adult dog. She apparently has lots of problems though; like eye infection, weak hind legs… Hopefully she will be fine…

Oh yes~ Did I mention that Sheena doesn’t know what “canine” and “feline” is and that tickled me because she sounded like a bimbo in front of the vet. I was slightly embarrassed by her bimbo-ness but she’s my beloved cousin so I’ll just laugh at her here. :P

Okay~ Finally, we know Maomao’s true gender. IT’S A BOY! And for all these while, we thought Maomao is a girl and we were cuckoos! When the vet asked me what gender Maomao was, I honestly had no idea because I have people telling me she’s a girl, he’s a boy, and I’m no expert in the cat’s reproductive anatomy too. And when I realized that Maomao’s a boy, I was slightly disappointed but again, happy.

Disappointed because I have to change how I address him. I always call him a “good girl” and I’ve been calling her the wrong the for so long and that made me feel stupid. On the bright side, it’s cheaper to neuter a boy and that my gut feeling of Maomao being a male is correct.

I’m psychic but psychic doesn’t mean I can tell the genders of animals okay~

The vet told me that Maomao will grow up to be a big boy and that she (no HE!!!) is healthy. I finally know his breed too! He’s a domestic short hair cat! Like what kind of a breed is that? Oh well~ He’s still adorable! Maomao also had his shots and the vet said he’s a good boy. I’m so proud~ At least he doesn’t go mad biting people like he does at home…

After the vet visit and vaccination, Laura went to the dog bakery beside the Pet’s Safari and bought some pastries for Qiqi. The monster tried some of it but wasn’t exactly excited over her delicious treats. I tried to give Maomao some of that cupcake but Maomao just licked on it for awhile and ignored it. Qiqi then devoured that small piece of cake.

And I did not eat those cakes because the person said it’s tasteless to humans. But they look so DELICIOUS~

Maomao in the carrier…

When we were finally settled with our “children” we went back to my home, with the exception of Sheena because she has to work, for dinner. Qiqi came along as well and terrorized Maomao again but at least, at my house, she can bark for all I care. Here, Laura is being vain as Vera curls her hair.

A clearer shot of Qiqi, since most of the previous shots are mostly unclear.

Today, my father cooked prawn noodles and invited the entire family over for dinner and therefore, I couldn’t just let Maomao roam freely throughout the house, for fear that he might disturb my grandparents or even worse, bite them, and for fear that the little children will molest him. So, I put him on my bed; one of his favorite sleeping spots.

He looks slightly possessed in this picture.

My room un-officially became a children daycare, where all my little cousins swarmed over to rob me of our laptops. Then, they play games on it.

My little boy playing with my cousins…

Looks like I scaled this picture wrongly but this is Xander, my youngest cousin and he looks like a model here. :P

I did not take this picture of Xander’s butt. It just appeared in my camera when I was looking through the film.

Another shot of Xander… Though it looks a little dark and boring…

This is Xavier with an epic face…

The 2 brothers terrorizing the entire room with their toy gun. When they made those gun sounds like Bang Bang or Phiu Phiu, they spat saliva all over us and that was totally gross.

Well, that’s all the pictures I have for today. A little tired… Probably because I had to wake up early today to prepare for the visit.

Shall go do something else now~

Lunar New Year -day one-

tumblr died on me when I started blogging this entry and I had to re-upload all the pictures all over again and save a draft of it in case anything happens to it again. It’s so agonizing to have to upload images one by one…

Anyway, today is the first day of Chinese New Year and my family normally go visiting on this day. My cousins came along as well and we had to leave Mao-mao all alone at home because the maid was going along too. Poor Mao-mao but she was very well-behaved. :)

I’ve definitely broken last year’s record for the number of photos taken. I’ve went to check and we only took 8 miserable, low quality pictures that did not make it to the public. This year, we took more pictures and featured here today are 112 pictures!

Yes! 112! Imagine how tedious it is to upload every single one? Good thing I made them smaller in size so uploading isn’t such a killer. I have to say, though, this is definitely the blog entry with the most pictures in my entire blogging life!

Well~ Since there are so many pictures here, I shall not comment on every single one. Just see for yourself, yes? :D

Rena stayed over yesterday so that she can go visiting with us today.

Steamboat lunch, again…

Happy Valentine’s Day! This prawn cracker came out in this shape~ Special, eh?

Vera…

Rena… Her hair band was victimized again and again today by Leon…

Leon, giving one of his epic faces…

Nick and Laura…

See how long Vera’s legs are! NO~ In actual fact, they are short. It’s my photography skills that make her legs look so much better. :P

Heading for our “tour” vehicle; my father’s van. We were literally roasting turkeys in that van because it was SO WARM!

Our first destination; my Po-po (grandma)’s house. Her house is like an antique museum~

And therefore, I got Laura to pose for me in the antique-y set~

Black and white version…

Notice Leon’s face…

The cute woman on the left is my Po-po! She is the cutest grandma on this planet!

My youngest brother received this red packet with tigers on it. Those tigers reminded me of my Mao-mao who was all alone at home.

Tower of tangerines…

After sitting around in my grandma’s house eating goodies and surviving through a footage of Shanghai shown on TV by my uncle, we decided to go to the near-by park for our annual “photo shoot”. It’s way better than just sitting around like couch potatoes, wasting space. They look like they are working a runway~

One of my favorite shots of today~

I think Laura’s belt is gorgeous! She bought it last minute for 10 dollars only.

See the difference between having the light shining on your face and on your back?

Another attempt to make Vera look taller…

There used to be 4 girls but now, we are left with 3 because Sheena decided to go work on the first day of Chinese New Year just for the triple pay! Sad~

Rena’s big nose.

This looks like a shoe ad~ :P Those heels are tall! Around 3.5” to 4” tall!

I love the tenderness in Laura’s face in this shot.

A pose-y shot~ :P

Leon doing a flag, or whatever it’s called. I think that’s just a way of saying “I’m going to break my leg~”

The above diagram shows that my younger brother (Nick) is heavier than my younger sister (Vera).

Laura borrowed Rena’s wedges for this shot because she felt that her sandals were out of place and I must say those wedges gave her legs more length. I think she has the potential to be a model~ :D

Another fabulous shot of Laura’s face~ Her skin is good~

I told her to pull her ear backs, hoping that she can give some tension in her eyes but she gave me a lost look like “What the hell are you talking about?”

He wants to put this on his Plurk so…

Don’t really like this shot but oh well… :P

I actually find this shot very silent… There’s something going on behind that face. That’s what I feel…

An attempt on a wild shot that’s not very wild, of myself.

Rena is arranging her hair. Girls~

Jump shots are a challenge to take! Especially when I cannot predict when my camera will actually capture that frame. Luckily, we managed to get some, though they are not fantastic.

I took this myself~ :D I might make a black/white version one day~

That’s a retarded face, I know, but what you’re about to see is even more retarded…

My sister tied her ribbon hair band onto my fringe!

And I was “forced” to act cute…

I really hate this face of mine because it looks totally retarded but it’s funny~

They just had to rub it in…

Trying to take the picture using my right hand while still being in the frame. A.K.A Cam-whoring…

I like this one~ :P

Laura imitating the model on the van…

Leon came up with this crazy idea of us taking monochrome pictures of us with poker faces and then, I suggested posing and these are what we took, along with some accident shots because we did everything on timer mode.

Loving this lighting~ Could be better though.

Heading to the van after our second destination, one of our aunt’s house.

Leon’s back got stained by the yellowish walls of my father’s van. That’s why I never dare to lean against those walls and if you’re wearing white, it would be even worse.

We were having a conversation on wisdom tooth and Rena and Laura decided to count the number of teeth they have on their lower jaw. Rena is using her tongue.

Laura is trying to use her tongue to count when…

She hecked! Using a finger is much faster and more unglam. Fantastic picture! :P

The girls robbed Leon of his shoes.

Leon got back by borrowing Rena’s hair band…

A stray kitty kitty kitty~

Inside this really cram elevator with no windows. I hate elevators with no windows because if you get stuck inside, it’s damn scary… :S

This is another elevator with mirrors on the top. We took this shot couple of years ago and decided to take it again~ :P

Laura is enjoying her seat in the pink plastic chair.

The girls went to freshen up at the sink because they were complaining that they were sweaty and one of my cousins (no names please since they told me not to mention but you can guess~ :P) were complaining that her armpit was sweaty and stinky. So un-demure.

Laura suddenly went high and decided to pose for me randomly.

I love this picture~ :P It’s hilarious~

Leon and Laura were giving Rena a massage and they ended up “fighting” with each other. Laura looked as though she was going to shoot a laser beam out of her mouth~

I was so bored that I helped that family arrange the candies neatly in the circular tray. So kind of me… :P

Cam-whoring again…

The girls exchanged their shoes and realized that my sister’s shoes were too tall and too big for them and they ended up changing back to their own shoes as seen over here. Really funny~

Laura with a pony tail…

She called this the “imitation of Sheena”.

This is the amount of red packets that my brother and I collected collectively. Of course, we removed the money… :P

We got crazy and started to throw red packets into the air~ :P It was so hard to get a proper shot. In the end, we didn’t manage to get one because my camera’s battery went flat.

Oh well~ Tomorrow will be visiting again. But I guess we only have one stop; my aunt’s house. They are going to have a barbecue lunch (or is it dinner) so we are expected to go.

My camera’s fully charged for more action tomorrow! :D

Lunar New Year -eve-

Something’s for sure; I broke my record of the number of pictures I took last year. Last year, I remember that I did not take over 20 pictures because I didn’t have a proper camera and using the phone’s one was pathetic.

Now that I have my Lumix FX 48 (Am still in love with it~), I’m off to take lots of nice pictures! Especially of my siblings and cousins and of course, Ms Diva Maomao. :P

Today’s the reunion dinner day~ We had steamboat for dinner and it was… steamboat lor. Not fabulous but not dreadful neither. Just tasted like… Steamboat.

Anyway, I’m lazy to type in details because it’s now 1:52am and I’m getting sleepy but I want to blog!

Yeap! PICTURES!

Took this while my brother was playing the PS3 for the entire afternoon. He robbed me of my television and I was so bored in the afternoon. Besides using the laptop, bathing kitty, SMS-ing my fingers numb (speaking of which, I was meant to trim my nails but I guess I’ll do that tomorrow), playing with kitty, napping, eating nuts, doing GDET, I was basically doing nothing. It may seem like I did a lot but no~ I didn’t.

Random shot of my white (and it’s still white) Nokia E63. Love it~

STEAMBOAT DINNER! I think last year’s stuff was more but because we didn’t managed to finish most of the stuff, I think the adults decided that it would be more economical to just get enough. But this, I think, is the steamboat dinner that I had at home in which I ate the most. I even saved some pig liver and a prawn for Mao-mao.

Look at all the goodies I threw (literally) into the steamboat~ Yummy~ Though it could do better with a tom yam soup…

Unglam Rena… She can do fantastic poses but she refuse to be a model today.

Channel 8 was showing some movie and the girls were so engrossed in the show that they stood up to watch and I managed to steal a shot of them in the act. See~ Rena is concentrating more on the TV than her food.

The messy table…

Vera with Mao-mao. Mao-mao was surprisingly well-behaved today. No running around, no scratching, no biting~ Good girl!

Rena is constantly hiding her face…

I say, Sheena is the most daring in front of the camera. She does the dumbest things but they are funny~ :P

She looks sleepy…

Eating…

That’s me and my father playing with Mao-mao. I forgot who took this shot but it’s pretty badly taken because of that random arm on the left.

My cousins and siblings decided to play UNO in my room and I brought Mao-mao in just in case the adults want to terrorize her, especially my father. So while they were playing, I was attending to Mao-mao on my bed and suddenly, she jumped off my bed into the heap of cards~ Cuteness~

Look at Laura’s face. This is a game of Big 2 though. :P

Another picture of them playing cards.

DISCLAIMER: Cam-whoring pictures below…

Sheena and I decided to cam-whore (something that I normally don’t do) and here are our “best” shots. No laughing please~ I know some of them look funny. :P

Look at my teeth! :P

I like my face in this picture~ The chin, the neck, the angle, the eyes, the mouth, and the artificial, Lightroom-ed skin. :P

Don’t really like the face here but I like my hand~ :P It looks long and slim.

My youngest brother brought this cowboy-ish hat from China and we all took turns to wear it and of course, take pictures! This is Sheena with the cap~

Rena…

Laura in a swimming suit ad pose… :P

Another one of my favorite shots~ It will look nice in black and white. Look~ It’s ayumi at the back!

The air-conditioner was actually switched on but because my air-con isn’t very strong to begin with, plus there are so many people packed in my tiny room, it was really really warm. Therefore, we had to turn on the fan. When Rena walked pass it, I saw a shot of her with her hair blowing and asked her to pose for me. Viola~ Nice picture!

Vera and Rena with Leon making a funny face at the background. Nice picture too but the hair isn’t as obvious as the previous shot.

Oh well~ That’s all the good photos that I’ve decided to post today. Tomorrow, I shall take even more pictures! :D We’ll be visiting our relatives tomorrow and I shall clear their pineapple tarts because I haven’t ate any yet! HOHOHO~

Time to go sleep~ :D

Happy Lunar New Year y’all!

Going out with cousins is FUN!

RENA and SHEENA especially… I’m updating my blog already okay? Are you happy now? :)

Anyway, yesterday, I went out with Sheena, Rena, Laura (surprise surprise!) and Leon. Initially, we were planning to go to Haw Par Villa but due to unforeseen circumstances (which incidentally is Sheena’s colleagues who didn’t do something and had to have Sheena go back to the store to cover up), we ended up doing lots of random things.

This post is going to be long but filled with pictures~

Who hate pictures? Huh huh? :D

So my brother and I went to my cousins’ place. You know girls take forever to prepare and when I was there, Sheena was still in her pyjamas (no surprise). So we played with Qiqi~ She was in her red little dress. I asked my aunt why and she explained that the weather recently has been a bit chilly and therefore, the clothes will hopefully keep the pup warm.

Qiqi in her red dress!

Once the girls are ready (with Sheena finally dressed in something decent and Rena done fussing over her shirt), we left. The sky was really beautiful yesterday, much to our surprise because it has been raining for the past few days.

Look at the sky!

Beautiful clouds~

Reached Hougang Mall. We were meant to meet up with Laura but she took awhile to arrive so we went to walk around. I saw this Christmas tree (I’m a little obsessed with Christmas trees nowadays because I don’t have one at home. Any donors? :P) Took this marvelous shot~

Me in a silver ball…

Another shot of the sky…

Laura arrived and we took the train to Buona Vista. We were meant to take a bus from Buona Vista to Haw Par Villa but *sigh*, we didn’t manage to go to Haw Par Villa in the end. Being at Buona Vista brings back those memories of going to Fusionopolis for GAMBIT stuff…

One of those classic MRT door shot featuring my cousins, my brother (Leon) and myself…

At Buona Vista’s bus stop, we were waiting for bus 200 and we saw 3 bus 200s went pass us because it was then when Sheena’s colleague summoned her back to work. And while waiting and deciding on what we should do, my cousins, brother and I took lots of random pictures because we we plain BORED.

Laura, Rena and Sheena

Rena and her hair~ It was windy yesterday…

This could be a shoe ad if Sheena had better pedicure…

Bus stop at Buona Vista… With the SKY!

Laura trying to be cheena…

Rena’s epic face…

Sheena and Me conversing on how to get a taxi so that we can get to Queenstown. Thanks to a special someone for helping us with the number :)

Our feet… I had no idea when this picture was taken.

So we finally decided to go to Queenstown so that Sheena can go back to her shop to get her work done. However, she didn’t bring her keys along and she had to ask her colleague to go to her house to bring the key over for her. In the meantime, we went to IKEA and some shopping mall opposite IKEA (I forgot the name) to walk around.

Laura and Rena in the 8 seater taxi~ It was extremely comfortable and I felt like a superstar~ :P

Rena: What?

We used coins to buy the famous IKEA hotdogs~ :P So that would be 5 hotdogs and a drink…

Sheena and Laura squeezing sauces on their hotdogs. I had chilli sauce on my hand because there was some on the nozzle~ Sheena and Leon didn’t bother telling me so that they can have a good laugh at my stupidity… -_-“

My hotdog had chilli sauce and mustard on it.

My cousins and brother said I love to take pictures of random pictures and so I proved it to them by taking a picture of the dustbin.

Sheena and her pig face.

That small cup of lemon tea was shared amongst the 5 of us, thanks to the free refills provided by IKEA~ :)

SHOT OF THE DAY! I LOVE THIS SHOT!

Laura gets an unglam shot to herself. :)

After walking around randomly for awhile, Sheena’s friend arrived and we went to Queensway Shopping Center where Sheena’s store is located. She is currently working at a store which specializes in making trophies, metals, plagues and what-nots. Basically things you expect to get during an award ceremony.

I have no idea why this picture is so much bigger than the others but this is Leon being shameless. :P

Leon and Rena playing Plants vs Zombies.

Machinery…

Leon played Monopoly on the laptop and named his opponent Rena, much to Rena’s dismay.

After being stuck in the store trying to get some plagues printed and sent out, we decided to go bowling. Laura had to leave early though. Bowling was difficult because I suck at it. Rena was surprisingly better than the rest of us at bowling. Must be all the practice she gets from playing MSN Bowling with Sheena during schooling hours. :P

Sparkling blue lights on a tree while walking to the bus stop from Queensway Shopping Center.

See that white light in the distance? I thought it was a moon from the corner of my eye but it was actually the AIA logo… -_-“

At the bowling alley, Sheena and Rena wore their loaned bowling shoes.

Leon is pretty good at bowling BUT he almost threw the ball at our faces TWICE when the bowling ball slipped from his fingers.

After bowling, we went to a nearby Prata house and had prata~ The shop is incidentally located below my ITP office. Good thing it’s a Sunday night… :P

My 2 egg and 1 cheese prata~ Yummy~ :P Was really bloated after finishing these.

Well, it was a fun day despite the fact that we didn’t go to Har Paw Villa as we originally planned. We are planning on going there another day, soon~ :D Can’t wait~ It’s been ages since we went out together~ Stupid Vera has work to do and she woke up at 4PM! Too bad, she missed out all the fun. :P

I’m trying to upload some videos of Laura playing with my Ernie~ We’ll see whether it will make it to this blog… :)

Stay tuned~ :)
